And The Bride Wore......Flip Flops!

Even after the incoming tide has washed away that I ♥ U scratched in the sand or the clam shells used to fashion a huge heart at the water’s edge, the memories of a beach wedding will linger forever.

Think about repeating – or renewing - your marriage vows as the sun sets behind the Cape May Lighthouse and St. Mary's is silhouetted by lengthening summer shadows. Or, opt for an early morning ceremony as the sun rises over the Atlantic Ocean and the sky is the color of a translucent opal on a gorgeous August morning.

Sound romantic?

Is it any wonder that Cape May is the third most popular destination wedding spot in America, right behind Las Vegas and Disney World!  From the casual beach wedding to the most formal church nuptials, Cape May County offers romantic - and often unique - settings, the  perfect backdrop for the most important event of your life, your wedding.
Locations can vary from Ocean City with the Music Pier and Boardwalk in the background to Hereford Lighthouse and the breathtakingly beautiful gardens that surround this historic structure. A bride can be as formal or as casual as she chooses, walking down the aisle across the sand in flip flops or even bare feet to meet her groom and begin their new life together.
Sometimes weddings on the beach include dozens of spectators,
none of whom even knows the happy couple. They might not be invited to the wedding and they may have to watch longingly as other guests head off to a lavish reception but they can still have the vicarious fun of watching couples exchange vows or witness a bride and groom say "I do"  – as more than 400 couples do each year!

The legalities: In New Jersey marriages and civil unions can be performed by the county clerk or other officials who are authorized to solemnize marriages including judges, mayors, the county surrogate and clergy people.

Best bet:  Call the Cape May County Clerk’s office for the exact information needed – 609-465-1010 or check online for local wedding planners to handle all the details from the permits required for a wedding on the beach to quarters for the parking meters.

Family Beach Photos

How do you preserve those precious vacation memories, or capture a precious moment with a new addition to your family?

Beach photos are THE perfect way to make sure those memories last forever.  Professional photographers are a must and they can help you find the perfect location – the best beach, at the best time – to make sure your photos are exactly what you expect – and more!

No time for an evening sitting or maybe nap time interferes with precise scheduling?  How about beach day photography?  It’s a great alternative, especially if you want action shots of kids digging in the sand,   splashing in the ocean or riding a boogie board.   Props help create natural looking photos, too – a pail, a surfboard or whatever your favorite beach accessory happens to be.

From infants to multi-generations, big families or small, kids, pets and almost any mix of family you can imagine, professional photographers will capture that most special moment on the beach.

Smile – and say cheese!
